Home-education

How can I help?

I offer a flexible and collaborative approach, working alongside your family’s home-education style to support your child’s individual needs. I aim to deliver interactive, hands-on activities so that children feel the joy of learning.

Whether you’re looking for support in a specific subject or would prefer a more cross-curricular approach, I am happy to help. I incorporate your child’s interests and relevant world events into my planning to keep learning meaningful and engaging, and I respond in the moment to how your child is feeling and interacting on the day.

Sessions are available on a 1:1 basis or in small groups if you have friends seeking a similar experience.

My sessions can also provide valuable time for you as a home-educating parent, to focus on other work commitments, running the family home or allowing you to have some time to yourself.

Having worked in a school for 8 years, I have seen first-hand how the education system doesn’t meet the needs of our children. Yes, some children thrive in school but many do not. There are many reasons why a family might decide to home-educate, from school based anxiety, SEND needs not being met, wanting the flexibility to travel, wanting to spend more time as a family, not agreeing with the curriculum taught in schools, etc. Each and every reason is a totally valid one and just because you home-educate, doesn’t mean that you have to be responsible for your child’s entire education – that’s where I can help!
